“I was born in Kokkola. I still live in the same area, a little bit north, in the Council of Kalajoki. If you look at a map of Finland I live in the middle, close to the coast line in west. The lakes, and the sea, has always caught my attention with its powers. Now a days I can’t imagine to live inland. The moist winds from the lake and the smell of the salty sea is something I do not want to miss, but who knows what the future holds?
I first came in contact with the Horstmann Technique in September 2002, when I did my first workshop in Tammerfors. At the end of 2003 I became a certified Practitioner. 2004 – 2005 I studied Anathomy and Physiology.
Even if I hadn’t planned it, I always seemed to participate whenever there was a Horstmann workshop. It felt like I needed all the knowledge I could get about the Horstmann System.
The Universe answered my prayers, and in August 2004 made it poosible for me to travel to Australia and participate in the first Horstmann Technique Odessey in Maleny, Queensland. (Trish writes about it in her book). After that I’ve been twice to Tasmania, in early 2008 and late 2009, to participate in workshops and teacher training.
I became teacher in my first modalities in January 2009. I completed my teacher training in October 2009.
At this point, I would like to spread Horstmann in the area where I live. At the end of 2010 one of the TAFE schools will put up three Introductory Horstmann workshops on their schedule. I hope this will be the change to expand Horstmann in my area.”
